The Tatajuba tree is an extremely fast growing tree which makes a great choice for those seeking and environmentally friendly choice for decking material. This also makes tatajuba one of the least expensive exotic hardwoods. Initially tatajuba wood has a yellow color but after a few months it darkens to a light to medium brownish color.
Tatajuba is dense and strong. It has a grain that interlocks and is sometimes irregular, sometimes even causes subtle dark stripes.It takes paints glues and stains well as it isn't as dense as ipe for example.
Common uses of Tatajuba:
While most of the tatajuba we sell is kiln dried used for decking material. We can and do custom mill wood to your specifications. Please keep in mind we only sell tatajuba in lots of one shipping container or more.
