Our Ipe 1x4 comes in 3 flavors: Regular, ipe 1x4 tongue and pre grooved 1x4" ipe deck board. The only other board size that is as popular is the 1x6.

Tongue and groove 1x 4" deck boards are usually used for porch decking. Porch, covered deck, balcony, portico, veranda, stoop or whatever you'd like to call a partially covered area, tongue and grove deck boards make for easy installation in areas protected from sun and rain and snow.
Pre Grooved 1x4" Ipe deck boards
Our Pre Grooved 1x4" Ipe Deck boards are a great product. The biscuit cut groove is perfect for hidden deck fasteners. In case you haven't heard, deck fasteners are the way to go. Better looks, longer lasting and more stable decks come from not using those face screws. Of course it takes a little more labor, but decks that look better and last longer and have boards that stay flat is certainly worth it.
